Hi there,
My name is Brian Bettler and i am the creator of Hammer
Down Dyno Service. We are a new business formed as a
service for racers who want to get the most from their Briggs
V-Twin Vanguard engines. I have been working with the
Briggs Model 35 engine in the Tobias Slingshot Series for over
3 years. I am not an engine builder or a parts salesman. I
started this business in my garage to help fellow racers learn
about their engines. I have been a part of the Slingshot series
for several years as crew chief for Kurt Bettler's 2b. In that
time i have learned that correctly tuned engines both last
longer and produce more power in helping to win races.

Some think that dyno testing is complicated and not worth
the effort in a sealed engine class of racing. This is not true.
As you will find as you read on, there is a lot of valuable
information locked in a motor that will never be seen without
testing it. Even without adjusting anything on the engine you
can simply swap external parts to see which ones work best.
Which one of your carburetors makes the most power? How
much grinding does a manifold really benefit from? Which fuel
really is the best? We are here to help you find the answers to
these questions. In today’s times dyno testing may seem
financially out of the question. From what we’ve heard
quoted from our competition we feel the same way. At
Hammer Down we see no reason why dyno testing has to be
expensive. Ask around about what other teams have paid to
have their engines tested and then consider our prices. The
best part is that you, the customer, have the control about
what to change and the power of knowledge about your
engine.

Email is my best line of communication. Let me know what we
can help you with and take the time to read our entire page
before setting up an appointment.
